More for Mom

Thank Dog for Mellow Journal. I knew I saw this hat somewhere, and I was frustrated by my fruitless searches to find it again. Isn't hers SO cute?

The reason for my searching is that my Mom, the post-divorce-mid-life-crisis-avid-skier would LOVE this hat from the Bea Ellis Knitwear site.

Maybe this could be Mom's 50th birthday present? If so, I have until July 11th to finish it. Which ... considering that I have all those MamaCate-inspired projects in the queue for Mom, I'll be knitting for Mom until July, so it'll fit in perfectly. From now until eternity, I will love my Mother through knit goods.

Would this hat require fair aisle? I think that fair aisle will be my next big step. Should I find someone to teach me, or can it be learned by reading (what I've always done thus far when learning anything knittin related)? Good luck.

I LOVE that hat Crystal! If I finish the fair isle vest for the Olympics without going WHACO, I think I want to knit one of those hats next.... so I bookmarked the pg. Hope you bring it in while you're working on it...

yay, so glad to help! and thank dog indeed.

the kits are so fun and really just the right amount of fair isle - not too much, not too little. and the people at bea ellis were really nice, emailing me over and over again with suggestions when i couldn't make up my mind over colors.

Bea Ellis' hats are awesome - I made one for my sister a few years ago and she wears it all the time. If you would like any fair isle help, I'd be happy to give you some pointers.
